Mercedes-Benz Evolution Tour: NYC

Last night, Mercedes Benz kicked off their annual “Evolution Tour” in NYC.  The tour brings together fashion, art, and music (plus some liquor) all while showcasing the luxury vehicles Mercedes are currently offering!

The event had DJ Questlove spinning (a NY Staple DJ) and a full performance from the hit group Bastille (if you do not know their song “Pompeii” you have probably been living under a rock).  The event also featured plenty of cool stations such as custom t-shirts and tote bags with designs from Gregory Siff & Zio Ziegler, styling bar with flash tattoos and make-overs, and styling appraisals from the famous bloggers The Bumbys.  Bastille really ended the night on a good note with an hour set, performing old classics (even “No Scrubs” by TLC) and some brand new material.

One of the cars Mercedes showcased was there GLA.  Living in NYC, I haven’t paid much attention to cars, but this car looked awesome.  It starts at $31,300 and I would NOT mind taking it for a test drive.  I don’t know the specs, but you can click here to find out more about the car.

The event was good and definitely a fun way to kick of summer (which started Sunday).  I got to check out an awesome band while grabbing some free goodies, drinking some Wodka Vodka cocktails, and mingling with fellow NYC’ers; what more could I ask for?  The tour is coming to four other cities, I would definitely check it out if I were you!   Chicago (7/29), LA (8/4), ATL (9/3), & Austin (10/22).
