NYFW: Mataano F/W 13

Last night, I went to the Mataano F/W 13 show.  These dynamic designers, who happen to be twin sisters, Ayaan and Idyl Mohallim, put on a great show.  For starters, it took place at Landmark on the Park, a church in the Upper West-Side.  There was a reception hour with food, prepared by Chef Roble, and drinks.  After they got people buzzed they presented their show, which was fantastic!  Lots of leather and animal print (leather is really back in full effect); I hope no one from PETA was there.  I loved the earth tone colors. The designs were modern, though there were still very with trendy and risk-taking elements to the collection.  After the runway show, they pulled out the chairs and had a party in the church.  Lots of mingling (even with the designers and models), lots of influential people were in the building, and lots of cocktails!  Overall, it was a very entertaining show!
