DowntownBrooklyn.com Launch Party
Last night, I attended the launch of DowntownBrooklyn.com (which launches today, 2/1) at the Brooklyn Brewhouse in Downtown Brooklyn. This new website is all things Brooklyn and gives the user the opportunity to discover various activities going on in Brooklyn.
The website was created, in partnership with Northside Media Group, in order to “give a new look to the diverse, dynamic, cultural, and academic epic-center that is today’s live/work community of Downtown Brooklyn.” They have already partnered with 430 local businesses, cultural organization, and schools; giving these centers a presence on the site. The site features tons of activities going on in Brooklyn; from best places to eat, theater runs, where to shop, and even where to volunteer. The website also allows people to sign-up and become members, in-order to take part in tons of deals they will have.
The party, which was in partnership with Brooklyn Magazine, was all things “new” Brooklyn. The drink of the hour was even Brooklyn Gin. They gave a small presentation on the many features of the website and all the great things it has to offer. This website is the new mega-center for the happenings of D.town Brooklyn and I will definitely be joining!
DowntownBrooklyn.com is currently holding a month long (in the month of February) competition, in partnership with American Airline, that will fly a friend of any user to Downtown Brooklyn for free! All you have to do is sign up in the month of February. Hope to see you on DowntownBrooklyn.com!
