Heineken Red Star Access w/ French Montana & Wiz Khalifa
Heineken has been really busy these past couple of weeks… It seems like every week they are having an event; I think they are trying to paint NYC green! Last night I went to a huge event that topped all of the other Heineken events I have been too. Heineken Red Star Access tour stopped by NYC and brought two new heavy weights in the hip-hop community to the stage; Wiz Khalifa & French Montana.
Hosted by Affion Crockett (comedian and actor) and music by DJ Clark Kent, Heineken took over Basketball City (Pier 36) and turned it into a big green room with red stars everywhere. Heineken provided beer, food (from some of the top NYC food trucks), games, and a live concert all for free! Over 500 people were in the building to party and drink ‘responsibly’. They had plenty of stations setup including a game station with EA games and favorite arcade games (ping-pong, air hockey), a photo station that allowed people to take pictures on the red carpet, and a DJ station that allowed people to play with the DJ app, Algoriddim, and learn how to spin.
Heineken Red Access is an annual tour that brings people together to listen to the hottest music and indulge in the “freshest experiences” nationwide. Already this year they have hit Chicago, D.C. & Atlanta; the NYC stop did not disappoint at all. French and Wiz were great. These two really have a cult following, it is crazy how they are both so big and French hasn’t even put out an album yet and Wiz has only one album out. They are really making millions off a mix-tape; what has Drake started? Both took over the stage with high energy and superstar presence.
Over all I had a great night and I have not one complaint. Oh wait yes I do, my feet were KILLING me!!!! That isn’t their problem, but I am going to blame Heineken either way ;-)!
Until next event xoxo…
