Pick’n’Tell launch

Thursday, at Runway boutique in SoHo (there were a lot of events in SoHo last week), I attended the launch party for Pickn’Tell, a shopaholics dream app. This is an app that can get a lot of people in trouble (mostly financially) because it allows you to shop at various big name stores, like Banana Republic, J. Crew, and Bloomingdale’s, all from the convenience of your smart phone.

The app is basically a big shopping social media network.  It allows you to use an interactive mirror, which shows you how an outfit will look on you.  It gives you the option to post different pictures of pieces from websites and outfits you’ve tried on to your Facebook, or send to friends via text, in order to get opinions from people.  You can add items to a wish list (friends can view and purchase items on your wish list for you *hint hint*), mix and match items from different stores, and earn points to win prizes.

I don’t think I have to tell you that this was a good party! Again with shopping + drinking (yes they had an open bar), there will never be a dull moment.  They had plenty of staff on board showing people how to use the app and showing the different special feature.  Kauze, a make-up artist to celebrities, was also there with a team of people giving everyone styling/make-up tips.

The app is free and is available for Iphones and Androids.  I’m on there, so hurry up and join so you can help style me for all of these events! Until the next one xoxo….
